Black History Month Celebrations
This year, we are focusing on celebrations that showcase a collaborative effort amongst the Caribbean Community in Calgary. Our celebration of Black History month will be held at Evergreen Theatre and Spaces, #2 1709 8th Ave. NE, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. It is a beautiful location and we anticipate that the great fun, fabulous food and informative and entertaining cultural presentations we have planned for you will meet and exceed your expectations! Bring a friend with you!

The Haitian Association
Invites you to a movie presentation. The title of the film is Brown Girls Beginand it will be shown on Thursday, February 15, at Festival Hall (Calgary Folk Music Festival), 1215 10th Ave SE. The cost is $25 per person. (18+)  Members of the St. Lucia Association cost $10.00 (call Margaret for tickets 403-862-1193)
The Haitian association is also hosting a workshop on February 16, 2018. The workshop is geared towards youth, and will showcase a leadership class on how to use creativity on the job. The workshop will be hosted at Pure Energy Dance - Unit #1 3220 5th Ave NE from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Light refreshments will be served. This is a free event.

The Grenada Association
You are invited to the celebration of the 44th Year of Grenada's Independence on February 17, 2018. 
The celebration is being held at Winston Heights - Mountain View Community Association which is located at 520 – 27 Ave NE. Cocktails are at 6:30 PM, Dinner at 7:00 PM, followed by entertainment and dance. Tickets for the event are $50 per person and can be obtained by contacting Aden at adwells555@gmail.com. Members of the St. Lucia Association- we have 4 complimentary tickets, if you would like to attend this function call Margaret for tickets 403-862-1193.

Alberta's NDP Caucus - 2nd Historical Celebration of Black History Month 
On Friday February 2, 2018 at Federal Building, 9820 - 107 Street, Edmonton. Please arrive by 6:00 PM for registration. The program begins at 6:30 and will end at 9:00 PM
